Quick Answer
Server credentials are sensitive. Nakroteck shows safe details in the client area and never asks you to post passwords in tickets.
VPS and dedicated servers have credentials that are different from your Nakroteck login.
Common fields
- Hostname: the server name, often your domain or a server label.
- Primary IP: the main IP address used for SSH and services.
- Username: usually root for Linux servers.
- Password: the server password set during setup or reset later.
- Assigned IPs: additional IP addresses allocated to the server where applicable.
Password safety
Do not paste root passwords into tickets. If support needs access, we will ask you to reset it or provide a secure temporary method.
