Quick Answer
Paste your certificate into cPanel AutoSSL or Plesk SSL/TLS and make your site secure.
If you bought a commercial SSL, you need to install it manually. Here is how.
Collect your files
After validation, we send you three pieces:
- Certificate (ends with .crt).
- Private key (ends with .key). You generated this when ordering.
- CA bundle (sometimes called intermediate cert).
In cPanel
- Log in to cPanel.
- Under Security, click SSL/TLS, then Manage SSL sites.
- Pick the domain.
- Paste the certificate, private key, and CA bundle into the three fields.
- Click Install Certificate.
In Plesk
- Log in to Plesk.
- Click SSL/TLS Certificates for the domain.
- Click Upload the certificate files and attach all three files.
- Save. Then go back to the domain, open Hosting & DNS > Hosting Settings and pick the new cert under SSL/TLS support.
Check it worked
Visit your site at https:// and click the padlock in the browser. It should show your domain name and certificate issuer. If you see a warning, clear the browser cache or open an incognito tab.
