Quick Answer
Use Plesk File Manager for quick browser uploads, or FTP/SFTP for larger website folders.
Use Plesk File Manager when you want to upload files through the browser. Use FTP or SFTP when you need to upload many files.
Upload with Plesk File Manager
- Go to Client Area > Hosting > Open service > Login to Plesk.
- Open Files or File Manager.
- Open the httpdocs folder.
- Click Upload.
- Select your files or a zip archive.
- If you uploaded a zip file, extract it inside httpdocs.
Upload with FTP or SFTP
- Install FileZilla or another FTP app.
- Use the hostname, username, and password shown in your hosting service details.
- Use port 21 for FTP or port 22 for SFTP if SSH is enabled.
- Upload your site files into httpdocs.
Homepage file
Your homepage should normally be named index.html or index.php and placed directly inside httpdocs.
